Will Miles work in my car?
Miles works in most cars 2008 and newer. Check yours in a few seconds with our compatibility checker.
Miles plugs into the diagnostic port already in the vehicle, typically under the steering column. The port is called the OBD-II port and is required in all gas and hybrid passenger vehicles sold in the US since 1996.
Support for 1996 to 2007 vehicles is something we are working toward, but it is only available on limited models today.
A small number of EVs connect and report battery status. The list is growing, but many are not yet supported. Check your model with the compatibility checker before you buy.
On a supported EV, location, trips, driving insights and Miles Guard all work normally. The vehicle health side has less to report, since there is no engine oil, no emissions system and no fuel.
