How does Miles compare to a phone tracking app?

Miles knows the car. Phone apps only know the phone.

Miles Plug has its own GPS and cellular connection, so it works when there is no phone in the car, and it reports real vehicle health and status rather than just dot on a map. It stops at the car: once someone walks away, Miles does not collect, use, or show their location.

Phone tracking apps do cover people beyond the vehicle, but they follow the person everywhere, drain phone batteries with constant location pings, and go dark when a phone dies or is switched off. Some build detailed profiles and sell that data to advertisers. Miles does not sell your vehicle or trip data and Miles doesn't make money from serving ads to you.
